created by overwhelming noises
all bamblasting in such cacophony
that all that remains
is a deafening silence
of thought
my fingers want to type
my mouth wants to speak
but the noises
overpower any ability
to enunciate
with any lucidity
a diet of calm
a room of quiet
a basket of tranquility
preordered & paid for
but delivery is always postponed
or seemingly canceled entirely

freezing my fingers
closing my mouth
